| Artist and digitizer Richard Merrill says:
Design is one thing, whether it is creating a dam, a house, a car, a digitized logo or a web site. The adage "Do one thing, and do it well" gives the designer broad license.
Richard Merrill has been designing in various media for over thirty years.
A few of the other things he has designed:
- aerospace cameras made to fly at twice the speed of sound
- mobile sculptures nine feet by six feet
- rod puppets, marionettes and the stages on which they perform
- hybrid post-and-beam solar-tempered superinsulated homes (built 'em, too)
- 72-page full-color visitor guides for the Bangor Chamber of Commerce
- trained staff of Penobscot Bay Press in Quark, Photoshop and production software integration.
- A full back embroidery design for a former Boston Fire Chief
